February 17 is Ash Wednesday -
the beginning of Lent
Midweek Lenten worship begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17. noon lunch and worship is in Fellowship Hall. Evening worship begins at 7 p.m. A simple meal of soup, bread and pie is served by our youth beginning at 5:30 p.m. Contributions for the meal support our youth activities. As always, their silent auction welcomes your donations.
In our worship we will lift up our mission statement: To know and proclaim Jesus Christ, and as disciples reach out in love.
Have you ever noticed the similarities of those two words, disciples and disciplines? There must be a reason! Each week we will light a candle that celebrates the disciplines that lead us into doing God's work: the disciplines of obedience, truthfulness, generosity, frugality, charity, purity, simplicity, and humility. Along the way we will discover that our light somtimes flickers dim - revaling our neef for the Savior.
Come along with us; bring the light of your witness to Christ.
